Sorry it's been awhile since I posted last. I got caught up in getting ready for the garage sale and spent most of my waking hours in the garage pricing, organizing, and being generally disgusted with the amount of"stuff" I've accumulated over the years. After all of the work, the actual sale tanked. Murphy's Law - the weekends for a solid month before my garage sale were perfect weather. What happened the day of my sale? It rained. all day. both days. I only ended up selling about 1/4 of the stuff I wanted to. I'm going to try one more time tomorrow, so keep your fingers crossed. No matter what happens tomorrow, everything that is left is getting boxed up and sent to charity. I'm DONE with this! NEVER, EVER AGAIN!!!!

Quick Noah update. He is all toddler all the time now. He's gotten lots of practice perfecting his tantrum throwing (see video) and is getting very good at voicing his opinions and prefrences. I give him choices by showing him a couple different shirts every morning and he picks what he wants to wear. Same with choices for what kind of friut or snack he wants. Now that he can say "no" and "yes" it is much easier to understand what he wants. And he means it when he says NO. Here are a few pictures of him playing outside in his water table and climbing through his tunnel.

Noah and I are so proud of ourselves - we built a small storage shed for our back deck all by ourselves. He helped me read the directions, hold the parts and figure out how to snap everything together. he is such a little helper. Once we had the shed built, Noah decided it would make a great playhouse, so we spent time climbing in and out, shutting the lid and opening and closing the doors. He loves playing in it so much that I have held off putting my gardening stuff (which was the whole idea behind the purchase) in it. So the solution? Get him his own playhouse. I got a super awesome deal at Overstock.com (you should check out this site for great deals and free shipping) on a super-cute playhouse. It should be here next week and I'll take pictures of it when we get it built. Hopefully he'll like it as much as the shed so I can finish my deck project.
The vegetable and herb seeds that Noah and i planted way back in February are all planted and growing great out on the deck. We've already harvested some micro-greens, lettuce, and the beans aren't far behind. Everyday, Noah peaks under the strawberry plants and looks for red ones. if he finds one, he shows me and if it is ripe, we pick it, take in inside, wash it, and then eat it together. We've been having fun watching the plants grow.
I hope everyone is doing well and I really will try and post more often. Have a great day.
