Noah continues to improve but got his schedule all screwed up because he took a morning nap while in the car which threw off everything for the day. Kris is still pretty compromised. hopefully he'll get better soon - the weather is too nice to stay inside!

Hi-Ho, Hi-Ho, it's off to the doctors we go.............

Ready to be done with the sick thing now. I took Noah to the dr this morning and he has another nasty ear/sinus/chest infection. Back on antibiotics for 10 days. He couldn't sleep last night and was up from 11pm on. I did the best I could holding him upright all night so he could breath easier, but he was pretty miserable. Hopefully now that we've started the antibiotics this will clear up soon. Kris seems to be getting better.

Random thought: I'm amazed by how many people don't understand the importance of saying "Thank You." It means so much and goes a long way towards wanting to continue doing nice things for others.

We are supposed to have sunny and warm weather this weekend. I plan on taking Noah out so the sun can bake the ick he has out.

Have a good friday evening.

Kris and Noah are still sick. Noah seems a little better, Kris - not so much. I have my hands very full. I'm going to take advantage of this semi-quiet moment and do some deep breathing to prepare me for the next round. wish me luck

No pictures today - sorry! Both Kris and Noah are sick and I didn't get a chance to take any pictures. Not that you'd want to see Kris and Noah sick anyway. Hopefully tomorrow at least one of them will feel better and I'll get to use the camera.

Today Noah continued his obsession with standing on things. He took the tray I use in the kitchen and turned it upside-down than hopped up and down on it for awhile. When he got tired of that, he found a new use for the tray. He turned it right-side-up and sat in it while playing with his tractor. Here are some cute pictures of him standing and sitting on the tray. I love the expressions he makes when I ask him what he is doing.

After dinner, Kris took Noah out for a quick spin around the block on his new tricycle. It is a really neat thing. It has three different configurations so that as Noah grows, the trike can match his ability level. It really helps me because Noah loves to be pushed on things and I usually have to bend over to do it. After a few passes, my back, shoulders, and wrists are a mess. This tricycle has a handle in the back that can be adjusted so that I can just walk behind him normally to push him. Here are some pictures of a happy (but cold) Noah riding his first tricycle.

Finally for tonight, I took a video of Noah playing in the kitchen and practicing saying "bye-bye." He has such a sweet voice. (I have NO idea why this video is sideways. I've tried everything I know how to do to turn it, but nothing worked - sorry!!)

Before I sign off for the night, I just want to say "thank you" to my amazing family for their support and encouragement. I don't know what I'd do without you for so many reasons. Love you very much.

Rain, rain, go away, DON'T come again some other day (at least for awhile)!

Today was pretty rough for Noah due to the weather. He absolutely loves being outside and we have had pretty good weather for the last few days so he's gotten used to going out pretty much whenever he wanted to. But today, the sun would come out for about 10 minutes, and then we'd have serious downpours, complete with hail and rumbles of thunder. So it was in, out, in, out for most of the day. At one point, Noah decided that he'd rather stay out even though it was hailing (really, really small hail). He tipped up his face and thought it was really funny. I ruined it by bringing him in thinking that I probably was breaking some "mom rule" by letting my kid stay outside in a storm.

So to pass the time inside, Noah came up with a new game. He calls it "wait until mom isn't looking." He's figured out that when I turn my back, I can't see what he is doing. I've been telling him not to step on his toys for a couple days now and I thought he had gotten past it. I happened to have my back to him and heard him stomping, and turned slightly to see what he was doing. He was stepping on toys and checking to make sure I wasn't looking. When I turned completely around, he stopped pounding on the toy and gave me this super cute smile. I tested this a few more times, and yep, he waits for me to look somewhere else and then does something he KNOWS he shouldn't. I'd laugh, but I'm a bit freaked out by this development.

Noah is starting to get interested in wearing other peoples clothes. Today he was trying to wear my shoes and socks. Here are a few pictures:

I've got to keep this short tonight. We have to finish our taxes and get them filed. Blech!!!! Oh and lucky us! The evening news just announced that Oregon now has the highest unemployment rate in the country. 12.1%. Gee, the odds of me finding work just keep getting better.

Have a good night!

Happy Easter everyone.

Sorry, but no blog post or pictures today. Today was the kind of day that didn't lend itself to finding material to blog about.

Hopefully tomorrow will be different.
