It's been almost 3 weeks since Kris had shoulder surgery and he is already out of the sling. He is healing much, much faster than when he had surgery on his right shoulder.
Noah's pink eye, ear/sinus infection, and asthma have all cleared up and he is back to his normal self. He has a few teeth that just pushed through his gums and that is making him a bit cranky, but we'll take teeth over ear infections any day.
As for me, I'm still fighting off the last of the nasty strep/flu that I've had for the last 10 days. I'm down to just a raging headache and bit of a cough. I'm SO glad that we are on the other side of all of this.
Noah continues to amaze us. His new obsession is getting Kris or me to sing to him. All day long he makes the sign for "sing" and when we stop he signs "more". It started with me singing to him in the bathtub and now he can't get enough. I tried suplementing me singing with kids songs I downloaded from iTunes, but he just doesn't respond the same. I'm running out of new songs to sing. I've even gone through all of the Christmas carols I know, as well as the Star Spangled Banner. Got any suggestions?
The best part of singing to him is watching him dance. He has the funniest way of dancing - he puts his head down, lifts one leg, pounds it down, and turns in a circle. I'm working hard to get video of this, but it is challenging to sing, dance with him, try not to laugh too hard, and hold the video camera. But I'll keep trying.
Here are a few pictures we've taken over the last few weeks. Some are from our neighborhood park, others are from OMSI, the zoo, and around the house. There is also a really great picture of my Dad holding Noah during his visit. It was so nice to have him here. Sometimes it is really hard to live so far apart. Unfortunately, he ended up taking home more than pictures, he got my cold. SORRY DAD!
I'll try and get back on schedule with the blog or at least try and update it a few times a week. Have a great evening!
