Last Christmas we didn't do any decorating because we were supposed to be flying to visit Kris's family on the East Coast. We ended up getting snowed in and spent an unexpected Christmas in our house without any decorations. This year I wanted Noah to experience a house full of Christmas spirit. Kris took Noah to the mall for a few hours and while he was gone I worked like a crazy person and decorated the house with lots of Christmas stuff. I even bought a big tree this year! When Noah walked up the stairs, the lights were low and the tree lights were on. He stopped at the top of the stairs and just said "wow!" "shiny!" He spent the next hour or so looking at the trees and other decorations. His reaction made all of the hard work, bloody knuckles, and planning so totally worth it.
